2001: I'm a kid, truly enjoying the rise of digital life - downloading music, playing games, creating videos. My dad makes me the default family tech support, coming to me with all his computer questions.
2013: After finishing my MBA, I land my first real job at a media company covering the tech industry, where I make sure advertisers reach their target audience. Helping my clients and building solid relationships is rewarding.
But what I enjoy the most is learning about the tech industry. This is where I see firsthand how software is transforming business operations.
"Software is eating the world" becomes more than just a catchphrase I hear at a conference - it's the reality I'm watching unfold.
2016: Three years in the media world leave me ready for a change, both personal and professional.
I leave Paris and choose to move to Barcelona. The practical draws are clear: 300+ days of sun, exceptional food, rich culture, and the Mediterranean. But the real opportunity is a software company revolutionising form-building and data collection.
They need "someone to help our clients reach their goals with our form-builder app" - a Customer Success Manager. My research reveals two compelling facts: acquiring new customers costs 5 to 7 times more than retaining existing ones, and active users are more likely to stay. This clicks immediately.
It's my perfect pivot - a way to blend my early professional experience with my interest in software.
Since then, I've built a career in Customer Success. I've mastered the fundamentals: delivering value, measuring progress, and driving revenue growth. I've moved up to building and scaling teams focused on retention, expansion, and customer-centricity. Along the way, I've worked with exceptional people across customer success, care, and account management - plus countless talented people in product, engineering, sales, and marketing.
Recently, I began teaching students about practical applications of automation and AI in customer operations.
